Many of the employees are stressed out because they are balancing work life with their personal life that involves being a family caregiver.
While this problem is occurring now, it is expected to worsen as the baby boomer generation ages.
If one has to pick between the two, which would you pick? As long as finances allowed, most people would pick family. This is a problem for employers because their valuable employees are trying to balance the issues of their personal and work lives and family will usually win.
So we talk about the problems employers are seeing with their quality employees needing more time off, working different hours, changes in availability, and even if they are at work full time, they are less productive and not concentrating as they usually would because of their home life.
